Hi

I am not able to install windows xp.

I have got one TOSHIBA LAPTOP from CANADA,

120 GB HARD DISK
1.80 PROCESSOR
1 GB RAM

WINDOWS VISTA already installed , When i try to install XP and on first setep when i press ENTER it show NO HDD DRIVER DETECTED.

Then i install WINDOWS 98 but in the MY COMPUTER not CD DRIVER . Now what i can do.

If the laptop has a SATA hard drive you need to install the drivers at the very
beginning of setup, you should see a message telling you to press F6 to load
drivers.

BUT:

Have you checked that you can get XP drivers for the rest of the hardware? This might
not be so easy.

As for installing Win98 on that, forget it!

Is the object of this exercise to dual boot or are you looking to replace Vista altogether?

I resolved this issue with the help of iYogi (a Online Technical Support Company ) Technician as it was very urgent for me to install my windows xp.
