Hey everyone! My DualShock 4 controllers are constantly running out of juice mid-game, and I’m tired of having wires stretched across my living room while I play. I’m looking for a reliable charging station that can handle two controllers at once. I've seen some cheap ones online, but I'm worried about the build quality and whether they actually stop charging once the battery is full to avoid damage. I'd prefer something with a 'click-in' design rather than just balancing them on top. Does anyone have a specific brand or model they’ve used for a while that still works great? What’s the most reliable charging dock you’ve found for the PS4?

sooo i totally get the frustration with the wires... it basically ruins the whole vibe of a clean setup tbh. For your situation, I would suggest looking at the HyperX ChargePlay Duo for PS4. I know the official Sony one was mentioned, but after years of messing with different docks, the HyperX is actually a beast because of the weight. it's got a weighted base so it doesnt slide around your desk when you're trying to dock stuff.
Technically speaking, you really wanna look for something that uses the EXT port on the bottom (next to the headphone jack) rather than the micro-USB on top. Those top ports are notorious for wearing out or getting loose over time. yo, i feel u on the wire struggle, it's honestly the worst. For your situation, I would suggest the Sony PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Charging Station. i've had mine for like three years and it's actually been solid. it uses that click-in design you're looking for where it docks into the EXT port on the bottom, so ur not fiddling with the micro-USB port that breaks easily. Plus, it definitely stops charging when they're full... i leave mine on there 24/7 and the batteries are still fine, right? super reliable imo. gl!

Quick question - how much are you actually looking to spend? Like, are you trying to keep it under $15 or is your budget a bit higher for something more reliable? I'm honestly super CAUTIOUS about the really cheap ones cuz I've heard they can like, overcharge the batteries and basically fry your controllers! If you want something solid but affordable, I'd maybe look at the PowerA DualShock 4 Charging Station for PlayStation 4. It's got that click-in thing you want and is usually pretty cheap!
