I am finally upgrading to the PS5 Pro and really want a wireless headset that takes full advantage of the new console's power. I'm specifically looking for top-tier 3D audio performance and a mic that doesn't pick up background noise.

What are your current favorites that offer great battery life and long-term comfort for marathon gaming?

yo, congrats on getting the Pro! I am still kinda new to this whole audiophile world, but i spent a lot of time researching before buying mine cuz i didnt wanna waste money. honestly, for the PS5 Pro, you realy gotta be careful about what actually supports the 3D audio properly without lag. In my experience, here is how a few of the top ones compare:

  • Sony PlayStation Pulse Elite Wireless Headset: This is the official one and it uses planar magnetic drivers. Pros are the lossless audio and it connects super fast with that Link tech. But i guess the mic can be a bit sensitive? Plus the build feels kinda plasticky, so make sure to handle it gently so it doesnt snap.
  • <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= SteelSeries+Arctis+Nova+Pro+Wireless+for+PlayStation&linkCode=osi&------123456890?7649-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for PlayStation: This is probably the safest high-end bet. It has two batteries you can swap out, which is highkey amazing for long sessions. Cons? It is seriously expensive. I mean, is it worth double the price? Idk but the noise cancellation is actualy great for blocking out background noise.
  • Audeze Maxwell Wireless Gaming Headset for PlayStation: Everyone says this has the best sound quality for 3D audio, but be careful because its heavy. Like, really heavy. If you have a sensitive neck, you might want to consider something lighter for those marathon games. For your situation, I would suggest the Sony PlayStation Pulse Elite Wireless Headset since it is native tech, but maybe try it on first to check the comfort? gl with the new console!

So basically I think the consensus is that 3D audio tech is picky. PS5 Pro uses Tempest integration, so if it isnt tuned right, it sounds pretty bad. TBH I'm cautious cuz my last pair was not as good as expected...
