I just finally upgraded to the Switch OLED, and man, that screen is absolutely stunning! I’m honestly a bit paranoid about scratching it or damaging the improved kickstand while I'm commuting. I've looked at a few generic options, but I'm worried about the fit since the OLED is slightly wider than the original model. I'm looking for a hardshell case that's slim enough for a backpack but offers solid drop protection. Ideally, it should have dedicated slots for at least 10 game cartridges and enough clearance so the joysticks don't get drifted. Does anyone have a favorite brand that offers a perfect, snug fit for the OLED? What’s your go-to for maximum protection?

Seconding the recommendation above, those are solid picks! If ur looking for better value tho, I highkey suggest: * Butterfox Slim Compact Carrying Case for Switch OLED - realy sturdy and fits 19 games.
* ivoler Carrying Case for Nintendo Switch OLED - basically half the price of big brands but still hardshell. Both have great joystick clearance so no drift issues. Honestly, save the extra cash for a new game... gl!

Yo, congrats on the OLED! That screen is sick. Since the OLED is slightly wider than the OG model, you gotta be careful with older V1/V2 cases cuz they can put weird pressure on the triggers or joy-cons. In my experience, I would suggest the Spigen Rugged Armor Pro for Nintendo Switch OLED. It usually goes for around $25 and is basically the gold standard for drop protection without being a massive brick in your backpack. It has dedicated slots for 10 games and specifically molded sections for the joysticks so they dont get compressed and cause drift. Another solid option is the Skull & Co. Maxcarry Case for Nintendo Switch OLED. It’s technically designed to fit their grip but it works great standalone and the hardshell is legit. Tbh just make sure whatever you buy specifically says OLED-ready so you dont mess up that new kickstand. peace

That extra 0.1 inch width on the OLED (242mm vs 239mm) might seem negligible, but it causes real tension on the ZL/ZR triggers in cases designed for the original model.
