Hey everyone! I am burning through way too many AA batteries playing Halo lately. I need a reliable rechargeable pack with:

  • USB-C compatibility
  • Long charge life
  • Quick recharge time

I want to stop wasting money on disposables and upgrade. What are the top-rated rechargeable battery packs for the Xbox Series X?

I wasted a ton on cheap generic packs before trying the PowerA Play and Charge Kit for Xbox Series X. Its basically half the price of official ones, tho the build feels a bit plasticky. I also used the OIVO Xbox Controller Charger Station which is awesome for organization, but takes up desk space. Both are way more cost-effective than disposables tbh.

Caught this a day late but I wanted to chime in with a different take. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, skip the expensive branded stuff and look into high-quality NiMH rechargeable batteries instead. I use the Panasonic Eneloop Pro 4-Pack AA High Capacity NiMH Rechargeable Batteries and they are legendary for a reason. Most play and charge kits actually have lower capacity than a good pair of AAs. I found some technical breakdowns on sites like Rtings and various tech subreddits that show these hold up way better over hundreds of charge cycles. If you definitely want that USB-C charging through the controller, the PowerA Play and Charge Kit for Xbox is a solid budget alternative. But honestly, getting Eneloops and a Panasonic BQ-CC55 Quick Charger is the smartest move for longevity.

  • Always have a fresh pair ready to swap
  • They last for years without losing capacity
  • You can use them for other household tech too Ngl, it saves so much money over time compared to buying packs every year.

Honestly, I was in the same boat till I just grabbed the Microsoft Xbox Rechargeable Battery USB-C. Its literally the best way to go because it fits perfectly and you can charge while playing. I usually get about 30 hours per charge which is huge for Halo sessions. It costs like thirty bucks but pays for itself fast. Definitely beats digging for AAs mid-match tho.
