Honestly I am so sick of having to delete games every single time a new update comes out for CoD or Forza. My internet is basically a potato so it takes like two days to redownload anything and I just want to play my games without the constant juggling act. Im literally down to like 10GB of space and it is driving me crazy.

I need to pick something up before the weekend because I have some time off and I just want it to work without any drama. My budget is around 150 bucks but I see there are a few options now like the WD Black and the Seagate one. Is there a big difference between them or is one just way more reliable? What is the best storage expansion card for Xbox Series X right now?

Just jumping in here and honestly its a bit of a letdown how limited we are with these options. The proprietary tech means prices stay high and it is super frustrating for us users. If you want that seamless plug and play for Series X optimized games, you basically have to hunt for the Western Digital WD_BLACK C50 1TB Expansion Card because it usually sits right at that 150 limit, whereas others are often overpriced. Unfortunately the performance gain isnt even that crazy compared to standard NVMe drives. If you want a budget hack tho, maybe look at a Samsung T7 Shield 2TB Portable SSD. You cant play the newest games directly off it, but moving a 100GB game takes like 10 mins instead of two days on your potato internet. It makes the shuffling way less painful and gives you double the space for the same price... lmk if you need the exact transfer speeds or anything.

Honestly, its pretty disappointing that Microsoft still locks us into these expensive cards. Proprietary setups suck, but if you want to play Series X games without moving them back and forth, you dont have much choice. For a 150 dollar budget, your best bet is definitely the Western Digital WD_BLACK C50 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox. I have used both and the Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S 1TB is usually overpriced for the exact same performance. Had some issues with the Seagate card getting way too hot in the back of my console too. Just grab the WD C50. Its usually on sale and fits your budget perfectly. Anything else is just gonna be a headache or way too small for stuff like Forza... and that game is huge.
