Which screen protector and case fit the new ROG Ally X perfectly?

I just got my hands on the new ROG Ally X and I'm loving the extra battery life, but I'm struggling to find accessories. Since this version is noticeably thicker and has those redesigned grips, I'm worried that my old cases won't fit right.

I really want to keep the screen pristine and find a sturdy travel case that actually closes properly without crushing the buttons. I've noticed:

  • The new shell might affect how tempered glass sits
  • The extra depth makes standard original Ally cases too tight

I don't want to risk damaging it by forcing it into the wrong gear. Which screen protector and case fit the new ROG Ally X perfectly?

Tbh, grab the Skull & Co. EDC Case for ROG Ally X for that extra depth. The dbrand ROG Ally X Tempered Glass is hands down the best fit Ive used.

Its honestly so annoying how many sellers are just slapping Ally X on their old listings. Unfortunately, most of these generic cases are a total disaster for the new model. The extra depth in the grips means if you try to zip it shut, youre literally crushing the hall effect sensors. Ive already seen posts where people have stick drift issues because their perfect fit case was way too tight... You really gotta watch out for the thermal situation too. The vents on the back of the X arent in the same spot, so those older silicone skins or tight-fitting shells will block the airflow almost entirely. Its not just about the fit, its about not frying the internals. The screen has a slight curve at the bezel edge on the X that people arent talking about enough, and generic glass usually lifts there after a day or two. Id definitely steer clear of anything that isnt specifically molded for the X chassis. Just because it fits doesnt mean its safe. Better to wait for a proper revision than risk your handheld on a cheap sleeve that wasnt actually redesigned for the new dimensions, tbh.

TLDR: Stick with Spigen for the glass and JSAUX for the case to save money. Unfortunately, most brands are charging way too much for ROG Ally X gear right now. I had issues with a generic 'fit-all' bag that actually pressed down on the joysticks the whole time... not great. If you want something that actually fits without the 'luxury' price tag, get the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for ROG Ally X. It comes as a 2-pack and the alignment frame makes it basically impossible to mess up the install. For the case, the JSAUX Carrying Case for ROG Ally X is the best value choice. Its actually built for the extra thickness of the new model so you wont be forcing the zipper shut. Its solid enough for travel and cost me way less than the official Asus version which is honestly disappointing for the price.
