I just spent a fortune on this Switch OLED and honestly I'm already stressed about scratching the screen. It's so annoying that Nintendo puts that tiny anti-shatter film on it that you can't even remove but then it still gets marks? Ugh. Anyway I've narrowed it down to amFilm or the Spigen EZ Fit but I'm stuck. My logic was that the Spigen has that plastic tray which makes it impossible to mess up the alignment but it's like $18 for one or two. I am historically terrible at putting these on and usually end up with a hair or a bubble right in the middle which makes me want to throw the whole console away.
Then there's amFilm which is like half the price for a three-pack. Budget is super tight now because I went overboard on games and I need to have this delivered by Thursday night because I have a long flight Friday morning. Is the Spigen tray actually worth the premium price or is it just a gimmick? I've heard some people say the amFilm doesn't cover the screen perfectly to the edge and that would drive me crazy. I just want it to look invisible. Does one of these actually handle the glare better than the other or am I just splitting hairs at this point...
I've been obsessed with getting the perfect install since the v1 Switch days! Trust me, I've wasted so many protectors because of a single stray cat hair... it's the worst feeling ever lol. Since you're on a deadline for your flight, here's my take on the options:
Unfortunately, both those brands have let me down lately. amFilm sizing was slightly off on my last install, and Spigen is just overpriced. Ive had much better results with the ivoler 4-Pack Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch OLED with Alignment Frame.
Honestly, I totally get the anxiety with the OLED screen. It feels way more fragile than the old model even with that factory film. Since you're worried about messing it up, I'd suggest paying the premium for peace of mind.
