Hey everyone! I just finally upgraded to the Nintendo Switch OLED model and the screen is absolutely stunning. Since it is actually glass this time around, I am super paranoid about scratches or even cracking it if it falls.

I have been looking at a few options but I am stuck on a couple of things:

  • Should I go with tempered glass or just a standard film?
  • Will a thick protector make it hard to fit into the dock?
  • Does an anti-glare coating ruin those vibrant OLED colors?

I really want to keep this thing in perfect condition without losing that amazing display quality. Which screen protector do you think is actually the best for the OLED model?

Just grab the amFilm 2-Pack Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Switch OLED. Its cheap, fits the dock perfectly, and honestly you dont need to spend more since you get a spare included anyway.

Congrats on the upgrade! Honestly, you should 100% go with tempered glass over a standard film. Film is okay for scratches, but if you drop it, it wont do much to save the screen. I am super careful with my gear and glass is the only way to go for peace of mind. I highly recommend the amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch OLED 2-Pack. It is super affordable and fits in the dock perfectly without any rubbing. For the best application, I like the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector GLAS.tR Slim for Switch OLED because it comes with a frame that makes it line up perfectly. Definitely avoid anti-glare though. It really kills the vibrant colors and makes the display look grainy. Stick to clear glass to keep that amazing OLED pop!
