Hey everyone! I'm currently planning a new build centered around the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, and I'm a bit concerned about keeping the thermals in check. We all know how these X3D chips can run a bit hot due to the stacked cache, so I want to make sure I pick a liquid cooler that’s actually up to the task.

I’m looking for a 360mm AIO that balances top-tier cooling performance with manageable noise levels, as my PC sits right on my desk. I’ve been researching the Arctic Liquid Freezer III and the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity, but I’m seeing conflicting info on which one handles the specific thermal spikes of the Ryzen 9000 series better. My case is a Corsair 4000D, so I have decent airflow, but I want the CPU cooler to do the heavy lifting.

My budget is around $150–$200, and while I love a clean look, performance is my priority. Has anyone here had experience cooling the 9850X3D yet? What liquid cooler would you recommend to keep temps stable during long gaming sessions without sounding like a jet engine?

Seconding the recommendation above!! Check these out:

* EKWB EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Dark
* DeepCool LS720 360mm Premium Liquid CPU Cooler

Both are fantastic for spikes and ur setup will stay quiet tho!! GL!!

In my experience, the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 is basically your best bet for keeping things quiet and cool. Honestly, I'm still kinda new to this, but I've been using it and it handles those weird thermal spikes without sounding like a jet engine. I was actually super nervous about the installation, so just make sure ur careful with the mounting bracket! I've also heard the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity 360 is great, but it might be a bit louder than the Arctic. If you're using the Corsair 4000D Airflow, definitely double-check your clearance because 360mm rads can be a tight squeeze at the top. I mean, you dont want to get everything ready and then realize it wont fit... that would be a mood. good luck with the 9850X3D! peace

In my experience, the X3D cache layers trap heat, so dont expect miracles. Go with Corsair, you cant go wrong. Unfortunately, I've had issues with there brands being way too loud or failing.
