my old screen literally just flickered and died this morning so now im scrambling for a replacement before my next project starts Monday. looking for something high res thats gonna work with my pc and mac mini.

im torn between the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE and the ASUS ProArt PA279CRV since they both seem solid for design work. the dell is tempting for that ips black tech but the asus is cheaper and seems super color accurate. ive got about 750 to spend and need to buy it today so i can get it shipped to chicago fast. which one is the better pick for a mixed setup in 2024? or should i look at something else...

my main keyboard just quit on me and i have a deadline on monday so im kinda panicking right now. i was looking at the Keychron V series since everyone loves them but then i read some stuff about wireless lag and weird firmware issues with certain motherboards so i dont know if its worth the risk. then i looked at the SteelSeries Apex but people say the software is bloatware garbage. i just need a solid mechanical board that works with literally any desktop setup i throw it at.

budget is max $140

needs to be hot-swappable if possible

full size is a must for my spreadsheets

i live in the US so need quick shipping

is there something reliable that just works without a bunch of drama?...

looking for a webcam for my twitch stream starting next month. i keep seeing the logitech c920 everywhere but then some threads say to just get an elgato facecam instead.

my budget is $150 tops but im just doing retro games so i dont know if the elgato is overkill for a basic desktop setup...

My old mouse with the wire just stopped clicking today and I am honestly so frustrated because I have a big report due Monday and I am in Chicago for the weekend so I need to go to a store tomorrow to find a new one. I have no idea where to start because there are like a million boxes and I am so confused by the tech stuff. Does every wireless mouse work with every computer? My current board just died and I need a replacement like yesterday since I have a massive coding project due Monday. Ive been looking around and people keep saying the Razer Huntsman is top tier but then others say its overpriced garbage for gamers only. Then I saw the Keychron V series online but there are way too many versions and I dont even know which one fits a standard desktop setup best without being a hobbyist. I need something reliable that just works.

Budget: under 150 bucks

Use case: heavy typing and some gaming

Feel: tactile but not insanely loud

I have no idea where to start and I'm honestly panicking because I want to buy a gaming desktop this week. My budget is strictly under $1000 since that's all I saved from my job. I've been looking online but all the letters and numbers like i5 and 4060 make my head spin. My logic was just to buy the one with the most lights but I guess that's stupid? Okay so I havent actually built a full rig since about 2019 and honestly I feel like a total noob again looking at how much things have changed lately. I used to be the guy everyone asked for build advice but now that I am finally ready to replace my ancient i7-8700k setup I am just staring at benchmarks and scratching my head at the current GPU market. That $1200 price point seems like a weird middle ground where you can almost get a high-end beast but you have to be really careful about where you spend every dollar.

I need to pull the trigger on this in the next two weeks because my current card is literally artifacting during simple indie games now lol. Im lucky enough to live near a Microcenter so I can probably snag one of those CPU bundles they do which might save me some cash for the GPU. Here is what I am aiming for:

Solid 1440p performance at high settings (at least 80+ fps in stuff like Cyberpunk or Helldivers 2)

32GB of RAM because 16 is just not cutting it anymore for my workflow

2TB NVMe because games are getting massive

A case with decent airflow that isnt a massive RGB eyesore

Total budget strictly under $1200 before tax

I was looking at the RTX 4070 but that eats like half the budget instantly and I dont want to bottleneck it with a garbage CPU or a cheap motherboard that will die in a year. Is it better to go all in on an AM5 platform now for the future proofing or should I just stick with a cheaper last-gen setup to squeeze in a better card? I am really torn on where to cut corners...

i just got this big desktop computer for my new job starting monday and i realized it doesnt have a mouse and i have literally no idea what to buy. i went to the store and got so confused looking at all the boxes like does it even matter which one i get? i have like 40 dollars left in my budget and i really dont want to buy something that wont plug into my computer or whatever. i think my computer is just a regular dell box. i just need something wireless so i dont have wires everywhere. can i just buy any wireless mouse or are some only for certain computers?

I'm freaking out a little because my new job starts next Monday and I still haven't picked a keyboard for my setup. I'm gonna be switching between a Dell desktop for work and my personal Mac mini all day so I need something that just works with everything. I saw the Keychron K2 online and people love it but some reviews say it's way too thick and hurts your wrists without a rest and I dont want more clutter. Then I looked at the Logitech G915 but I read the G Hub software is basically broken on macOS lately.
