looking for a webcam for my twitch stream starting next month. i keep seeing the logitech c920 everywhere but then some threads say to just get an elgato facecam instead.
my budget is $150 tops but im just doing retro games so i dont know if the elgato is overkill for a basic desktop setup...

Honestly, the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam 1080p 30fps is a letdown these days. The sensor struggles way too much with lighting, and the grain is just annoying for a modern setup. If you want something that actually looks good for your stream without overspending, get the Razer Kiyo Pro Streaming Webcam 1080p 60fps. Its way better in low light, especially for your budget.

> i dont know if the elgato is overkill for a basic desktop setup... @Reply #1 - good point! tho i might suggest being cautious before dropping cash. some of those high-end sensors are a total nightmare to calibrate if your lighting isnt perfect. jumping in here... what kind of room lighting are you working with? and do you need something with a fixed focus or auto? those technical bits matter way more than the brand name tbh...
