What is actually the top prebuilt gaming pc I can get for under $800 right now? I am getting so frustrated because everything in this price bracket looks like a total ripoff. I need to get this for my nephews birthday by next Friday so I am on a super tight timeline and really dont have time to build one myself. Im torn between an HP Victus with a 4060 and 16gb ram or a CyberPowerPC on Amazon that has a 3060 but better reviews for cooling. The Victus looks kinda flimsy but the specs are better on paper i think. Which one is gonna actually last for stuff like Starfield?

Actually caught this thread while looking at deals! Honestly, if you want Starfield to run smooth, you really need that DLSS 3 support you get with the 40 series card. The 4060 is gonna give you way more longevity than an old 3060, plus the power efficiency is just incredible. Check out these specific models that usually stay under your 800 limit:

Regarding what #3 said about "Prices in this bracket are honestly so frustrating," I actually bought an Acer Nitro 50 Desktop i5-13400F RTX 4060 recently. It stays cooler. Pro tip: check open-box listings.

> Which one is gonna actually last for stuff like Starfield? In my experience, those budget cases are basically ovens. Not sure but I think I heard they updated the fans? ...IIRC that 4060 is gonna handle Starfield way better tho.

Prices in this bracket are honestly so frustrating, its like they want us to overpay.

  • terrible cases
  • noisy fans I think I heard HP uses weird custom motherboards? Not 100% sure tho.
