What are the most comfortable headsets for long calls?

I’ve been spending 6 to 8 hours a day in back-to-back Zoom meetings lately, and my current pair is absolutely killing my ears. By the afternoon, I’m dealing with a lot of pressure on my temples and my ears get way too hot. I really need something lightweight with plush ear cushions—maybe open-back or breathable material? I’m specifically looking for something that won't give me a headache after hour four. Noise cancellation would be a plus, but comfort is my top priority right now. Does anyone have recommendations for a headset that feels like you're wearing nothing at all even during marathon calls?

In my experience, the heat and pressure ur feeling is basically standard for closed-back headsets. Over the years, I've tried many, and honestly, the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= Sennheiser+HD+599+Open+Back+Headphone&linkCode=osi&------123456890?7649-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Sennheiser HD 599 Open Back Headphone is the king of comfort. Since it's open-back, ur ears literally never get hot cuz they can breathe. You'll need a separate mic like the Antlion Audio ModMic Uni to attach to it tho. If u want an all-in-one, maybe check out the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= Sennheiser+Game+One+Gaming+Headset&linkCode=osi&------123456890?7649-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Sennheiser Game One Gaming Headset? It has those plush velvet pads that dont sweat. Tbh, they feel like pillows on ur head lol. gl!

oh man, i feel u on this one. honestly, back-to-back calls are the worst when your head feels like it's in a literal vice lol. i used to deal with those same temple headaches every single day until i finally ditched my heavy gaming headset.

For your situation, I would suggest looking at these because they've saved my ears:

- <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k= Sennheiser+HD+600+Open-Back+Professional+Headphones&linkCode=osi&------123456890?7649-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Sennheiser HD 600 Open-Back Professional Headphones: These are legendary for a reason. Since they're open-back, your ears wont get hot at all. I use these with a separate mic and its basically like wearing clouds.
- Bose QuietComfort 45 Bluetooth Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones: If you really need that noise cancellation, these are the gold standard for comfort. The clamping force is super light compared to others.
- Shokz OpenComm2 Bone Conduction Stereo Bluetooth Headset: These dont even go *in* or *over* your ears, they sit on your cheekbones. No ear pressure or heat issues ever!!

I definitely recommend the open-back route if your environment isnt too noisy. Just make sure to check if you need a dedicated mic for the Sennheisers. gl with the marathon calls! peace

Quick question—are you using these for strictly voice calls, or do you need high-fidelity audio too? I've been doing this for years and, honestly, safety and ear health are huge when you're 8 hours deep.

1. Sony WH-1000XM5 vs. 2. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones

Sony is amazing for noise canceling but can get a bit warm. Bose is typically lighter with less 'clamp' pressure, which is safer for headaches. Lmk your priority!
