What screen should I actually buy for a PC that has an RTX 4090 in it? I just spent way too much on this new computer because I wanted the best graphics but i'm totally lost on the monitor part and dont want to waste the power of the card. I'm looking at stuff online and people keep talking about OLED vs IPS and refresh rates and honestly it just makes my head spin and I'm sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask.
Is $800 enough to get something good? I mostly play open world games like Cyberpunk and Forza so I want things to look really crisp. I'm in Chicago so I can go to Micro Center if they have better deals there... I just dont know where to start.
Adding my two cents since I've spent way too much time testing monitors over the years. With a 4090, you really need a reliable panel that wont flicker or have QC issues. Honestly, 800 bucks is a bit of a squeeze for top-tier 4K, but you can find solid options if you look at Micro Center.

I would suggest the LG 32GR93U-B 32-inch UltraGear 4K 144Hz because it is much more reliable than current budget OLEDs. Just be careful with quality control and make sure to test for dead pixels immediately. Also, check your desk depth... 32 inches is massive and can cause eye strain if you are sitting too close.
TL;DR: IPS panels arent as good as expected for 4090s. Unfortunately, $800 is kinda tight... the Gigabyte M32U 32 inch 4K 144Hz works, but honestly save for OLED if you can!
Wait really?? Thats actually super helpful. I always thought it was the other way around.
im in the exact same boat with my build. i spent hours comparing the market share of different panel manufacturers trying to find the best value but i just got totally stuck.
