Hey everyone! I’ve been grinding Valorant lately and finally hit Immortal, but I feel like my old 144Hz panel is starting to hold me back during fast executes. I'm looking to upgrade to a 240Hz monitor to get that extra smoothness and lower input lag. I’ve been looking at the Zowie XL series because of DyAc+ for motion clarity, but I'm also curious if the newer IPS panels are fast enough now. Since I play a lot of Jett, tracking fast-moving targets is my priority. My budget is around $500. Which 240Hz monitor would you guys recommend for the best competitive edge in tactical shooters?

+1 to what was said earlier. i think ViewSonic Omni XG2431 24-inch 240Hz is actually better value if you dont wanna spend $500 for the zowie!! it works great for tracking tho

yo, honestly making that jump from 144Hz to 240Hz was LITERALLY the best thing I ever did for my Jett dash-flicks. i remember feeling like I was finally seeing the game in slow motion, you know? i've spent sooo many hours deep-diving into the market research on these panels lately, and while those older TN screens are classic for motion clarity, the new Fast IPS tech has basically caught up without the washed-out colors. for your situation, i highkey recommend checking out the Alienware AW2523HF 24.5-inch 360Hz Gaming Monitor. it fits right in your $500 budget and actually pushes 360Hz, which is just insane smoothness for tracking fast targets. another fantastic pick is the ASUS ROG Strix XG249CM 23.8-inch 270Hz Gaming Monitor. it’s built like a tank and the motion clarity is top-tier for an IPS. you basically get the speed of a competitive panel with amazing visuals. gl on the climb to Radiant!! peace

So basically the consensus is Zowie XL2546K 24.5-inch 240Hz Gaming Monitor for speed vs ViewSonic Omni XG2431 24-inch 240Hz Gaming Monitor for value. don't forget strobe-related eye strain is real... safety first!!

Honestly, I've tried both and fast IPS is seriously amazing for those vibey colors, but for PURE competitive tracking? Zowie is still king imo. That DyAc tech makes a HUGE difference when you're dashing around as Jett!! It's basically motion blur-free. For under $500 you're getting insane value, but the Zowie motion clarity is just... chefs kiss. Definitely go for it if you want that edge!! gl!
