Whats the absolute cheapest Z690 or Z790 board I can get for a 13600K that wont throttle when I push the clocks? Ive been building PCs for a decade but these LGA 1700 prices are insane and Im seeing such mixed reviews on VRM thermals for the entry level stuff. My old Z97 board was so much simpler lol. I need to get this rig up and running by Friday for a freelance editing gig here in Chicago and my budget is hard capped at $180 for the mobo. Looking at the MSI PRO Z790-P or maybe an Asrock board but I'm worried about the power delivery keeping up with a decent overclock. Is there a hidden gem Im missing?

honestly im about at my wits end with my current setup. ive spent the last three days trying to troubleshoot constant crashes on my old intel rig and im just done with it. it keeps blue screening right when im in the middle of a heavy 4k render in premiere and i literally cant afford the downtime anymore since i have a client project due next friday.

im switching over to amd for the new ryzen 9 9900x3d because i need the stability for work but now im paranoid about picking a motherboard that actually works. i need something that isnt gonna give me bios headaches every week or random memory training issues that take five minutes to boot. my budget is around $450 for the board and i really need at least three m.2 slots for my scratch drives and storage. i live in chicago so i can hit up microcenter but i need to make a choice fast. what are you guys actually using that doesnt crash? i need:

rock solid vrms that wont overheat during long renders

at least 3 or 4 m.2 slots for high speed storage

stable bios out of the box

no weird coil whine or audio interference issues

i just want something that boots every time without me having to tinker with voltages for hours like a lab tech. what boards are actually reliable for a 9900x3d workstation?

What is the actual best X870 board to pair with the 9950X3D if I need it to be 100% stable for work? Im trying to get this build finalized before my next big freelance contract starts in about three weeks here in Chicago and I am honestly getting choice paralysis looking at all these new releases.

I did some digging and saw people hyping up the ASRock X870E Taichi because of the power phases but then others say the MSI Carbon WiFi is the better all-rounder for the price. My budget is pretty firm at $450 max for the motherboard because I already spent way too much on the GPU and the 9950X3D itself. I'm gonna be doing heavy 4K video rendering and some 3D work so I cant have the VRMs overheating or the system crashing mid-export.

The Gigabyte one looks sick but I heard their BIOS can be a nightmare to deal with if you're trying to tune the RAM sub-timings. Also do I even need the X870E version or is the regular X870 enough for a top-tier chip like this? Some threads say the extra USB4 and PCIe lanes are overkill unless you're a data hoarder but I dont want to gimp my performance just to save fifty bucks. If anyone has actually hands-on time with these yet let me know because I gotta order this like yesterday...
