Which motherboard should I pair with the new RTX 5080?

I’m planning to snag an RTX 5080 as soon as they drop, but I’m a bit stuck on the motherboard choice. I want to make sure I’m getting the most out of the new architecture, especially regarding PCIe 5.0 support and robust power delivery. I’m currently looking at high-end Z790 or X670E boards, but I’m worried about potential clearance issues given how massive these new cards are rumored to be. I’m aiming for a clean, black aesthetic and have a budget of around $400 for the board itself. Should I prioritize extra M.2 slots for storage, or is VRM cooling more critical for a build like this? Which specific models would you recommend for maximum stability with a 5080?

+1 to what was said earlier! Honestly, the ASUS ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi II is amazing, but I'm gonna be a bit of a buzzkill and say watch those VRMs!! If ur pushing a 5080, stability is EVERYTHING.
