Hey everyone! I’m finally putting together a new build around an RTX 4070 Ti Super, but I’m a bit stuck on picking the right 32GB RAM kit to pair with it. I want to make sure I’m not leaving any performance on the table, especially for 1440p gaming. I’m currently leaning towards DDR5, but I’m confused about whether I should prioritize lower latency (CL30) or higher clock speeds like 6000MHz or 6400MHz for this specific GPU level. My budget is around $120-$150, and I’d prefer something with a low profile to clear my air cooler. What specific kits have you guys found to be the most stable and high-performing with this card?

Ok so, in my experience, 6000MHz CL30 is basically the sweet spot for stability. I'd go with G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96 cuz it's low profile and seriously reliable.

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, 6000MHz CL30 is the sweet spot for DDR5 right now. I've been building for years and higher speeds like 6400MHz can sometimes be a headache with stability, especially on certain motherboards. Plus, lower latency is *huge* for 1440p gaming. If you want another low-profile option that fits under big air coolers, check out Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30. It is super reliable and usually fits the budget perfectly. gl!

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, I went through a whole ordeal trying to push higher speeds on my current setup and it was such a headache. I ended up sticking with 6000 CL30 and the stability literally saved my sanity. Plus, for 1440p, you realy won't notice the difference in frames, but your wallet will definitely thank you. I saved like 30 bucks going for the value pick instead of the overkill ones!! gl with the build

Tbh I totally agree with the 6000MHz CL30 advice, it’s basically the gold standard right now. I’ve been building my own rigs for a while but I still feel like a beginner when it comes to the crazy technical timings stuff lol. But honestly, if you're looking to save some extra cash for games, you gotta look at the more "budget" DIY brands instead of the ones with the huge marketing budgets. Here is what I've found while researching my own build:
- TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert Overclocking 10L DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 is a hidden gem. It’s super low profile, fits under almost any air cooler, and is usually like $10-20 cheaper than the big names.
- Doing the install yourself and just toggling the XMP/EXPO profile in the BIOS is so easy. Don't let a shop talk you into paying for "professional tuning" or whatever cuz it's basically a 2-minute job.
- Using that extra money you save on the RAM could probably go toward a better case fan or just a new game to test that 4070 Ti Super! Does anyone know if these kits play nice with every motherboard though? I'm still kinda figuring that part out.
