Best 64GB DDR5 RAM kit for 4K video editing?

Hey everyone! I’m currently building a new workstation primarily for heavy 4K video editing in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro. I’ve decided on 64GB of DDR5 to handle those massive playback caches, but I’m honestly a bit overwhelmed by the options. Should I be prioritizing high speeds like 6400MT/s, or is lower CAS latency more important for stable rendering? I’m planning to use an i9-14900K, so I need a kit that’s rock-solid with XMP enabled and won’t crash during a 10-hour export. Does anyone have specific kit recommendations that offer the best balance of speed and stability for creative workflows?

Honestly, dont overspend on crazy speeds! For 4K editing on a 14900K, stability is KING. I went with the G.Skill Flare X5 Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 and it's been AMAZING for the price. It's basically the sweet spot for value and hasn't crashed once during long exports. Speed is cool but losing a 10-hour render is literally the worst lol. gl!

Ok so, I've been through the same wringer with a 14900K build. Honestly, stability is EVERYTHING for long exports... nothing worse than a crash at 99%! I personally prioritize safety over raw speed. Here is what I have found works best:

* Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 CMK64GX5M2B6000C30: This is my daily driver. Super reliable and actually fits under big air coolers.
* Kingston Fury Renegade 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000 CL32 KF560C32RSK2-64: Another solid pick if you want something that lowkey just works without fussing in the BIOS.

Basically, 6000MT/s is the sweet spot. Anything higher is kinda risky for 10-hour renders imo. Good luck with the build!!

Ok so, I dealt with this exact headache on my build! I actually started with a 7200 kit but it crashed constantly during long 4K renders. Literally sooo frustrating to lose hours of work.

* 6000MT/s is basically the sweet spot for stability.
* Low CAS latency (CL30) makes scrubbing feel way smoother.
* Reliability is KING for long exports.

Basically, dont sacrifice stability for raw speed. My current setup uses a 6000 kit and it's been fantastic for months! gl!
