I'm currently putting together my first budget-friendly PC using an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor, and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the memory options. I know Ryzen CPUs are pretty sensitive to RAM speeds, but I’m trying to keep costs down without sacrificing too much performance.

I’ve been looking at a few options:

  • TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan
  • G.Skill Ripjaws V
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX

I’m debating whether to stick with a standard 16GB kit or if I should stretch for 32GB. Also, is there a noticeable real-world difference between 3200MHz and 3600MHz for a build like this?

What specific RAM kits would you suggest that balance price and performance for a Ryzen 5 setup?

In my experience, I've tried many kits with Ryzen and they used to be sooo picky. I once had a cheap kit that crashed my system for weeks, so I always tell people to stick with reliable brands. For a budget 5600 build, 3600MHz is technically the sweet spot for performance, but highkey, you probably wont notice a massive difference over 3200MHz in real-world gaming. Basically, dont overpay for speed you cant feel.

sooo i had a moment to think about this more and honestly... be careful with just picking the cheapest thing you see. i tried to save like ten bucks on a no-name kit once and it literally ruined my month with blue screens. it was so disappointing cuz i just wanted to play games but instead i was running memory tests for days. unfortunately, budget ram can be a total gamble. for ur ryzen 5 5600 build, i highkey recommend focusing on reliability and safety over just raw speed numbers if you dont want a headache. while 3600mhz is the sweet spot, i honestly think 3200mhz is way safer if you want to be 100% sure it just works without crashing. you mentioned looking at the TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan Z 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz and the G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz, which are okay i guess, but the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz was not as good as expected when i tried it and i had issues with stability. here is what i suggest for a reliable budget build:
